  1. 1Prometheus (2012)Prometheus (2012) 7.0/10 on IMDbReleased 30 May 2012The US teaser released in December 2011 turns enormous spaces, brief bodily alarm and the returning Alien-style siren into one escalating question. Its refusal to explain is the attraction. The feature has striking design and a wonderfully unsettling Michael Fassbender, but its creation debate and…0
  2. 2Suicide Squad (2016)Suicide Squad (2016) 5.9/10 on IMDbReleased 3 Aug 2016Use the January 2016 US official trailer set to Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody, rather than the earlier Comic-Con preview or the later film with a similar title. The song gives the introductions, jokes and bursts of action a shared comic rhythm. The theatrical film has to sustain those relationships…0
  3. 3Godzilla (2014)Godzilla (2014) 6.4/10 on IMDbReleased 14 May 2014The December 2013 US teaser follows a military descent into a city whose scale has become terrifyingly unreadable. Human bodies look very small before the creature fully registers. The feature carries that sense of magnitude into several excellent sequences, so this is a preference for the teaser's…0
  4. 4Man of Steel (2013)Man of Steel (2013) 7.1/10 on IMDbReleased 12 Jun 2013Warner's third US trailer, released in April 2013, gives Clark's outsider childhood, discovery and flight the shape of an uplifting miniature origin story. Hans Zimmer's rising score makes the question of what this person could become feel enormous. The film retains that earnestness, but its long…0
  5. 5Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) 7.3/10 on IMDbReleased 22 Apr 2015The first US teaser from October 2014 uses a disturbed Pinocchio-song association and Ultron's damaged appearance to turn a familiar superhero team into people facing their own creation. The ominous musical idea binds the fragments tightly. The feature gives James Spader more personality and the…0
  6. 6Terminator Salvation (2009)Terminator Salvation (2009) 6.5/10 on IMDbReleased 20 May 2009Look for the 2009 US campaign trailer built around Nine Inch Nails' The Day the World Went Away, rather than the earlier teaser. The industrial pulse and battered future-war machinery give the images a forceful shared identity. The film's competing attention to John Connor, Marcus and rescue…0

  8. 8Watchmen (2009)Watchmen (2009) 7.6/10 on IMDbReleased 4 Mar 2009The July 2008 US teaser sets its moving-comic-book images to the slower Smashing Pumpkins song The Beginning Is the End Is the Beginning. As a short piece, its beauty and menace do not need to explain the alternate history immediately. The theatrical film's literal staging and substantial…0
  9. 9The Creator (2023)The Creator (2023) 6.7/10 on IMDbReleased 27 Sept 2023The May 2023 English-language teaser makes military scale, inhabited landscapes and an artificial child feel like parts of a much larger world glimpsed in passing. Its most economical move is placing a small, vulnerable figure inside that vast conflict. The feature preserves the impressive design,…0
  10. 10TRON: Ares (2025)TRON: Ares (2025) 6.1/10 on IMDbReleased 8 Oct 2025Disney's first US trailer from April 2025 brings lightcycles out into familiar streets, making the collision of digital rules and ordinary physical space immediately legible. A police-car encounter sells the premise with very little explanation. The October 2025 feature still offers striking neon…0
