Children of Men (2006)

The crowded streets and exhausted faces make a speculative future feel disconcertingly ordinary. Long passages of movement place you inside danger while keeping individual lives in view. Watch it for the way a large dystopian premise can become a concrete argument about protecting another person when institutions have stopped seeing their humanity.
