Lisbon Story (1994)

A sound recordist's search through Lisbon makes listening more useful than collecting postcard views. Wim Wenders finds a city's identity in everyday noises, work and musical encounters, with Rüdiger Vogler carrying the practical curiosity. The missing-filmmaker premise gives the wandering a loose direction. An inviting choice if you want urban atmosphere to emerge through the ear as well as the image.
