The Last Black Man in San Francisco (2019)
Movie

Jimmie and Mont's attachment to a San Francisco house turns architecture into a disputed account of belonging. Joe Talbot gives hills, journeys and the building's carefully tended surfaces emotional weight without making ownership a simple reward. Choose it for the friction between loving a place and being able to remain there, with the film's heightened visual beauty sharpening that uncertainty.
