Enlightened (2011)

Amy returns from a breakdown determined to live differently, while colleagues and relatives remember exactly how difficult she can be. Laura Dern makes idealism and self-absorption uncomfortably compatible. Pick this when you want a midlife awakening examined rather than applauded automatically, with workplace power complicating the question of whether somebody really can change.
