The Makanai: Cooking for the Maiko House (2023)

When one girl's original ambition does not work out, cooking for the household becomes a different way to belong. Food preparation and the friendship between two young women provide the reassuring rhythm. There is disappointment, but the series gives it room to become a change of direction rather than a humiliating failure.
