Parks and Recreation (2009)

A local-government office gradually becomes a place where enthusiasm and oddness can find useful outlets. The strongest comfort comes from colleagues learning how to support one another without acquiring identical personalities. The short first season is less warm and settled than what follows, so its early awkwardness is not the best measure of the whole show's appeal.
