The Golden Girls (1985)

The Miami housemates get to flirt, quarrel, work and be gloriously petty without apologising for occupying the centre of a sitcom. The rhythms are unmistakably from the 1980s, but four distinct women sparring across a kitchen table remain excellent company. Their friendship leaves plenty of room for disagreement, vanity and genuinely different opinions.
