3 Idiots (2009)

An engineering-college friendship turns anxiety about achievement into broad comedy and earnest argument. Its jokes and emotional climaxes are deliberately large, which makes it an accessible introduction to popular Hindi storytelling rather than a subtle campus drama. Suicide and humiliation are important parts of the story despite the comic surface.
