Magpie Murders (2022)

An editor investigates a death while reading a mystery manuscript with its crucial ending missing. The movement between the book's village and the contemporary publishing world asks you to notice which details have been transformed. Start here if you like a puzzle with several surfaces to compare. The fictional story is part of the evidence, not an interruption to the main mystery.
