Citizen Kane (1941)

The investigation into a powerful man's life keeps changing the angle from which we see him. Deep compositions, sound and abrupt transitions make the storytelling itself a source of pleasure. The changing accounts keep wealth and loneliness in view even when the investigation cannot settle who Kane was.
