The Guest (2014)
Movie
Released
Dan Stevens arrives with impeccable manners, a persuasive connection to a grieving family's son and an offer to be useful. Adam Wingard lets those apparently considerate gestures buy him access to a household that wants to trust him. The film eventually embraces action and stylised violence, but its initial unease comes from watching charm remove obstacles that a less courteous stranger would never get past.
