The Owl House (2020)

A human newcomer has to discover a different route to spellcasting from the one magical society takes for granted. Glyphs make observation and experimentation fun to follow, while imposed categories become part of the conflict. Its warmth and odd creatures welcome younger viewers, but the later story gives those rules a serious political cost.
