Russian Doll (2019)

Nadia repeatedly returns to her birthday party, bringing dark humour and increasing frustration to each attempt to understand the pattern. Later storytelling takes a different temporal route. Natasha Lyonne keeps the puzzle connected to grief and inherited habits, rather than simply making survival a sequence of clever optimisations.
