The Orville (2017)

An imperfect crew tries to live up to exploratory ideals while carrying ordinary insecurities into space. The early broad jokes can obscure the more thoughtful series it becomes. Stay for ethical disagreements that need conversation and consequences, rather than optimism supplied solely by a heroic captain.
