Cowboy Bebop (1998)

Bounty hunting rarely pays as smoothly as the crew would like, and an empty fridge can matter as much as the next lead. The original anime mixes exceptional individual skill with a household that barely functions. Its episodic jobs let personal histories emerge through the practical business of staying afloat.
