Kim's Convenience (2016)

The Toronto shop provides a familiar doorway into family habits and neighbourhood encounters. A short episode can deliver an awkward exchange, an unexpected kindness and a clear sense of having spent time with people. It works best watched in order for the relationships, but the immediate comic situations rarely require elaborate preparation.
