Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997)

Buffy's supposed solitary duty becomes survivable through friends who bring research, humour and inconveniently ordinary problems. The Scooby Gang earn their older-classic place through years of care and conflict. Some attitudes have aged, and later seasons become much darker, but the bond remains more than a useful team label.
