The Good Place (2016)

A comedy about becoming better eventually has to decide what improvement is for. The final movement answers that question through the ensemble rather than an abstract speech alone. Its changing premise remains inventive, but the satisfaction comes from people whose progress you have watched. A particularly good choice if you want a warm conclusion that still permits sadness.
