In My Skin (2018)

Bethan tries to control what school friends can see of her home, and that effort is as important as the usual adolescent search for belonging. The Welsh drama is funny, intimate and sometimes deeply upsetting. Its class insight is in the work of concealment: appearing ordinary can require more vigilance than the people around her ever notice.
