Beechgrove Garden

Scottish growing conditions and practical trials make the programme a helpful counterweight to an imagined universal gardening calendar. The attention to what actually grows is the attraction. Viewers elsewhere can borrow the method of observing and comparing, while remembering that a successful planting in one climate is not an instruction to do the same thing everywhere.
