Marianne (2019)

A horror writer's return home brings her imagined terror into an unnervingly familiar community. The French series finds something deeply wrong in faces, voices and pauses before escalating into overt horror. It contains sharp shocks as well as patient unease, with the sinister atmosphere doing much of the lasting work.
