People Just Do Nothing (2014)

Kurupt FM's pirate-radio operation makes an almost negligible audience compatible with enormous self-belief. The mockumentary is most rewarding when confidence encounters the practical business of having a life. Familiarity with UK garage adds texture, but the group's status negotiations are immediately legible. The affection grows through the people rather than requiring their ambitions to become less absurd.
