Queenie (2024)

A breakup makes an already shaky young adult life much harder to hold together. Candice Carty-Williams gives Queenie friends, work and a Jamaican British family whose expectations cannot be reduced to one simple conflict. It is funny but emotionally raw, especially around damaging relationships and old hurt, with a lead allowed mistakes before finding a more useful understanding of herself.
