You're the Worst (2014)

Gretchen's relationship with Jimmy begins with mutual resistance to ordinary romantic expectations, then discovers that cynicism does not remove the need for care. Her bravado and avoidance remain comic problems without exhausting her identity. The show becomes emotionally demanding. Choose it for people whose defensive habits cannot be solved simply by finding somebody equally sharp-tongued.
