Ghosts (2019)

The British original makes a crumbling country house into a very awkward shared home. The ghosts' deaths and odd appearances supply spooky detail, but warmth and social embarrassment do most of the work. A severed head is part of the comic imagery, so this is gentle in tone rather than a world without macabre jokes.
