Ardh Satya (1983)

Om Puri's contained physical anger makes institutional pressure feel almost unbearable. The policeman's private habits and professional compromises are examined together. It is one of the decade's strongest choices when you want a social argument to emerge through a difficult character rather than a reassuring hero.
