Citizen Khan (2012)

Mr Khan's certainty that he is a respected community figure keeps colliding with the family living around him in Birmingham. The broad studio-sitcom rhythms are an easy entry point for domestic arguments across generations. Its humour also relies heavily on caricature, especially of the father, so choose it for expansive family farce rather than expecting one household to offer a representative portrait of British Pakistanis.
