Midnight Special (2016)

A father protecting a boy with extraordinary abilities has to learn where protection ends and control begins. Michael Shannon's urgent, practical care gives the pursuit its emotional direction, even while the film withholds much of its wider explanation. Choose it when you want a tense night-time chase whose deepest uncertainty concerns letting a child have a future you cannot fully understand.
