Love (2016)

Gus's apparently reasonable manner can conceal a desire to manage how other people see him. The relationship with Mickey gives both characters enough independent difficulty that neither can function as the other's easy solution. The comedy is awkward and emotionally messy. Its particularly useful observation is how being convinced you are the nice one can become another way to avoid scrutiny.
