Prison Playbook (2017)

A baseball player's abrupt move into prison gives an ensemble of inmates and officers time to develop beyond their first impressions. Friendship and petty routines sit beside the institution's cruelty. Its mixture of humour and hardship is the point, with an unhurried pace that rewards viewers more interested in the people sharing a room than a relentless escape plot.
