Mortimer & Whitehouse: Gone Fishing (2018)

Long conversations by the water allow the fishing to be both a purpose and an excuse for company. Paul knows what he is doing; Bob's distractions give the day its particular rhythm. Illness and mortality enter the conversation, and animal capture is part of the programme. The pace is spacious enough for those subjects to coexist with silliness.
