Fjord (2026)

Cristian Mungiu turns a Romanian-Norwegian family's move to a fjord village into a test of trust, parenting and institutional power. The bruises discovered on a child make easy allegiances impossible. Its place at the top reflects the dramatic force of that conflict and the film's refusal to make social judgement comfortable.
