Arcane (2021)

A divided city's politics become inseparable from the damage inside two sisters' relationship. The combination of painterly surfaces, stylised movement and expressive faces gives arguments real visual force. No game knowledge is needed, and the violence matters most when it changes what the characters can still ask of one another.
