Gravity Falls (2012)

The twins' summer in a strange town provides mysteries to solve together and jokes that reward a second pair of eyes. Adults can enjoy the construction while older children follow the discoveries. The later supernatural threat becomes genuinely intense, so the playful opening is not the full measure of its scares.
