The Sympathizer (2024)

The Captain's account is shaped by divided loyalties and by the situation in which he is telling it. His cleverness does not give him a neutral position. Shifts in tone and presentation ask you to think about who gets to frame a war story. Choose it for political and personal self-interpretation, with brutality and dark humour sitting close together.
