Mr. Robot (2015)

Elliot addresses an imagined friend, immediately making the viewer part of his coping mechanism. What he can bear to notice matters as much as what he knows. Pay attention to framing, omissions and the trust he asks you to extend. The hacking thriller is compelling, but the sustained relationship between storyteller and listener is the sharper hook.
