Abbott Elementary (2021)

The school staff's different levels of patience with the camera reveal another layer of professional behaviour. A teacher can be entirely committed to the children while still wanting their own small victory recorded. Its generosity keeps the observation from becoming simply a competition to identify the worst person. The practical classroom setting gives those reactions something substantial to respond to.
