The Comeback (2005)

Valerie Cherish lets cameras follow an attempted career revival, then continually tries to manage what those cameras should make of it. Lisa Kudrow makes the need to appear unbothered painfully visible. The embarrassment is severe, with real cruelty around the performance. Choose it for the unstable boundary between somebody playing a role for television and trying to retain control of their own story.
