Six Feet Under (2001)

The Fisher funeral home puts family life beside a workplace that cannot simply close when feelings become inconvenient. Clients need care, bodies need preparation and ownership has to be negotiated. The siblings' different relationships with the business keep resentment connected to real labour. Its dark humour is valuable, but death and grief are present in virtually every episode.
