Teesri Kasam (1966)

The cart journey offers the lovers a temporary space outside their public roles. Raj Kapoor and Waheeda Rehman make unequal experience felt without making tenderness foolish. Its unhurried rhythm suits a romance whose meaning depends on what cannot simply continue beyond the journey.
