Mo (2022)

Mo's Palestinian family's precarious life in Houston puts faith beside work, asylum uncertainty and intimate relationships. Religious and cultural differences become practical negotiations rather than an abstract debate he can win. The humour gives ordinary persistence room to breathe. Choose it for belief lived amid responsibilities, with displacement and grief keeping the comedy from becoming weightless.
