Broken (2017)

Father Michael's parishioners need material help as well as reassurance, and his own history complicates the confidence expected of a priest. The Catholic rituals have weight because the drama notices the people carrying them out. Choose it for faith tested by poverty, guilt and responsibility. It is compassionate but distressing, including abuse, bereavement and institutional failure.
