Argo (2012)
Movie
Released
Best Picture, 2013 ceremony.
The Hollywood planning is the part worth revisiting: Alan Arkin and John Goodman make a fake science-fiction production's everyday business funny. The airport escape has a thinner repeat appeal. Successive checks, delays and last-second interventions become conspicuous suspense levers, while the six people being rescued have limited individual texture to hold attention once the outcome is familiar.
