Chashme Buddoor (1981)

The friends' competing versions of themselves make the courtship comedy feel like an extension of shared lodgings. Farooque Shaikh and Deepti Naval provide an appealingly unforced centre. The supporting performances let boastfulness become funny without making sincerity look foolish.
