Beau Travail (2000)

Claire Denis makes military routine and landscape express forms of feeling the characters cannot name. Agnès Godard's images and the use of movement give the film an extraordinary physical intelligence. Its 1999 festival life precedes the catalogue's 2000 French cinema date.
