Doc Martin (2004)

Patients in Portwenn are also neighbours, relatives and witnesses to the doctor's mistakes. The original British Doc Martin uses that overlap to keep clinical authority in contact with village opinion. Martin Clunes' impatience supplies the comedy, while recurring residents ensure that an awkward exchange has a social life after the appointment ends.
