Corner Gas (2004)

The petrol station and diner in Dog River ensure that a tiny dispute can collect witnesses faster than it collects reliable facts. Corner Gas makes accumulated Canadian small-town familiarity the point of the joke. Little major drama is needed: a neighbour's entirely predictable response can be funnier because everybody else already knows what it will be.
