Mononoke (2007)

Decorative flatness, dense patterns and sharply arranged space turn a room into something that can conceal a moral history. The Medicine Seller's investigations require an explanation of each haunting, giving the visual excess a dramatic structure. Choose the 2007 television series for unsettling mysteries rather than confusing it with the similarly titled film.
