Occupied (2015)

A fictional Norwegian energy-policy crisis steadily narrows the compromises available to people trying to preserve ordinary government. Occupied makes keeping an institution functioning look increasingly difficult to distinguish from cooperation with coercion. The alternative-geopolitical premise is intentionally heightened. Its pressure reaches beyond the nominal leader into people whose jobs keep the arrangements operating.
